How to purchase Whole Lamb

Whole lamb pre-order reservations, when available are open year-round but are limited based on flock size and seasonal availability.

Ways to Purchase Whole Lamb

There are two ways to purchase whole lamb from our farm:

1. Reserve a whole lamb through our pre-order reservation system

Place a Pre-Order reservation online in our shop to secure your lamb for the upcoming harvest at seasonal pricing.

This reserves your place in our processing schedule for the annual fall harvest.

2. Available Inventory (When in Stock)

Fully processed whole lamb (Standard Cut Only) may be available for pickup or delivery upon scheduling. Current in stock whole lamb pricing is currently $12.50/lb hanging weight equivalent .

This option is limited and based on current inventory. It is not tied to seasonal reservation pricing and reflects ready-to-serve product availability.

Please contact us before placing an order to confirm current availability from our processed inventory.

Pre-Order Reservation System

When you pre-order a whole lamb, you reserve both your animal and a processing appointment from our next fall harvest.

Availability is limited each season, and reservations close once all harvest slots are spoken for.

Your deposit secures your reservation and is applied directly toward your final balance.

Because harvest planning and processor scheduling begin immediately, all deposits are non-refundable.

Seasonal Pricing

(Reservation-Based)

Your price is determined by when you place your pre-order reservation:

  • Early Season (Nov–Apr): $10.00/lb hanging weight

  • Mid Season (May–Jul): $10.50/lb hanging weight

  • Late Season (Aug–Oct): $11.00/lb hanging weight

Early season reservations (November - April) are based on projected numbers that we have allocated for the upcoming season. These numbers are based on a percentage of our current flock size and can change yearly. Final counts for available Pre-Orders will be confirmed in May once lambs have arrived.

Why Reserve Early?

  • Early reservations lock in the lowest seasonal pricing and ensure access to limited supply before harvest fills.

  • Reserving your lamb early helps us carefully plan processing and confirm your cutting instructions ahead of time so everything is handled smoothly from start to finish.

What to Expect

  • Typical hanging weight: 50–55 lbs

  • Full range: 45–55 lbs

  • Typical take-home yield: 30–36 lbs

  • Vacuum sealed and frozen for long-term storage

Estimated Total Price

Based on typical hanging weight:

Early Season $500–$550

Mid Season: $525–$578

Late Season: $550–$605

Because each lamb varies slightly in size, final pricing is determined by the actual hanging weight received from the processor after harvest.

What Happens After You Pre-Order

Once you place your pre-order reservation and submit your deposit, you’ll receive a confirmation email securing your place in our processing queue for the upcoming harvest season.

From there, we continue flock planning and raise the animals on pasture throughout the growing season.

As harvest approaches, we’ll contact you at key points throughout the process to provide updates and confirm any remaining details. This may include cut preferences (when applicable), as well as pickup or delivery coordination.

Whole lamb is processed once per year in October after the animals have fully finished on pasture. This seasonal harvest timing helps ensure high-quality, grass-fed lamb that is carefully raised, properly finished, and thoughtfully processed.

Reservations are fulfilled in the order they are received.

We know reserving a lamb months ahead of harvest can feel like a long wait, especially for first-time customers. Raising animals on pasture takes time, and we appreciate your patience throughout the season.

If questions come up at any point, we’re always happy to help and provide updates along the way.

Final Payment

Whole lamb orders are completed through a secure and transparent final billing process based on actual hanging weight and seasonal pricing locked in during the pre-order process.

Once processing is complete, customers will receive a final invoice by email outlining the remaining balance, including hanging weight and any custom cut selections. Secure online payment by credit card is available prior to pickup or delivery.

All orders must be paid in full before release.

For customers picking up directly from the farm, we also accept credit card, cash, or cashier’s check at pickup.

Finalizing payment ahead of time helps ensure pickup and delivery days are efficient, organized, and stress-free for everyone involved.

Delivery or Pick up Date

Once your final payment has been received, we will contact you to schedule either on-farm pickup or delivery at your convenience.

We provide free delivery within 30 miles of the farm on all whole lamb orders, as well as complimentary on-farm pickup for all customers.

Many customers prefer on-farm pickup for the opportunity to come directly to the farm, personally receive their order, and connect more closely with where their lamb was raised. On-farm pickup customers are also invited to schedule a return visit for a seasonal farm tour. These visits provide a closer connection to our pasture-raised system and an opportunity to see firsthand how your lamb is raised throughout the year, beyond the harvest season. Both pickup and delivery are scheduled in advance to ensure everything is prepared and ready for a smooth handoff.

We look forward to serving you.
