What makes your lamb different from grocery store lamb?

Our lamb is raised on pasture in a small-scale, hands-on system focused on quality over volume. Unlike grocery store lamb — which is often imported or produced through large commercial supply chains — our lamb is born, raised, and carefully managed right here on our farm.

We produce a limited number of lambs each season, allowing us to prioritize animal care, forage quality, and consistency rather than maximizing production. This is not mass-produced meat sitting in a distribution warehouse for weeks before reaching a shelf. Every lamb is raised with direct oversight from start to finish and processed locally before going directly to our customers.

Because of our smaller-scale approach, we are able to offer a more transparent and personal buying experience while providing premium pasture-raised lamb for families who value quality, sourcing, and knowing where their food comes from

Is your lamb grass-fed and grass-finished?

Yes. Our lambs are raised on pasture and finished on forage, reflecting a natural, grass-based system that prioritizes animal health and product quality.

Does your lamb contain antibiotics or hormones?

No. Our lambs are raised without added hormones.

If an animal requires medical treatment, it is temporarily withheld from harvest until it completes all required USDA withdrawal periods and meets food safety standards before processing.

What is hanging weight?

Hanging weight is the weight of the lamb after harvest and initial processing, before the meat is cut and packaged into individual portions. This is the standard method used when purchasing whole animals and provides a consistent, transparent pricing structure. Typically 40–55% of live weight.

Why is lamb priced per hanging weight instead of per package?

Hanging weight pricing is the most transparent way to purchase whole animals. It ensures you are paying for the full value of the lamb before it is broken into individual cuts, rather than being charged inflated retail pricing per package.
